Terms, Conditions

and Refunds

The invoice provides the specific plan for your pet's activities, with Janine Lewis, the dog chaperone, assigned to support your pet/s.

Once accepted and the deposit and/or full payment is received, it forms part of the contract with the terms and conditions detailed below.

The contract is with you, as the named client of the chaperone services, and myself, Janine Lewis, the owner of Janine”s Pet Services.

Terms and Conditions

  1. After the initial consultation, I will send you an invoice with the agreed-upon prices.

  2. ‍The invoice is valid for seven days only, starting from the date and time of the email.

  3. You can cancel the chaperone service up to 7 calendar days after receiving the invoice.

  4. My prices include travel within a 40-mile radius of RG31 6SR. Additional travel is calculated by time and added in increments of £50 per hour.

  5. The package price is calculated as one dog per ceremony. For each additional dog, there is a fee of £50, and this is at my discretion. Safety and sensibility must prevail.

  6. You can receive a 10% saving if you pay in full within seven days of this quote.

  7. A 50% deposit is required to secure a booking. The balance is then payable 28 days before the wedding.

  8. I can fully refund the deposit if I receive an electronic, written notification, date-stamped 28 days before the wedding date.

  9. With less than 27 days’ notice, I can only refund 20% of any monies; this is for my loss of earnings.

  10. My service starts with me coming to your home, at an agreed-upon location, or via Zoom to meet you and your pet before your big day. This is when the information from the pre-consultation questionnaire is set out as a plan with the timings, venues, and activities.

  11. If you require additional face-to-face ‘get to know you’ sessions or walks with your dog, you can arrange them, with my costs covered by you, where feasible.

  12.  If your dog is not collected, or the “Guardian” is not available, at the predetermined time, there will be an additional charge of £65 per hour.

Your Dog/s Health

  1. I will contact you before and during the wedding so that you know everything is okay. This is all part of my service for your peace of mind.

  2. I have completed a dog first aid training course and can only help in that capacity. If your dog requires urgent medical attention, I will seek advice from your local Vet. Their fees are your responsibility and are not included in my quotation fee. I will endeavour to contact you first, but if I cannot, then I must make that decision at that time in the best interests of your dog.‍

  3. Please ensure you are up to date with your pet’s vaccinations, including fleas and worms.‍

Photos

  1. I will be taking photos on my smartphone throughout the day. I will send them to you so that you can see everything is okay. Please let me know if this is a distraction and if I should stop or send fewer.

  2. After your event, I can send a full album, including a small watermark.

  3. These are not an alternative to the official photographer’s service.

  4. Unless advised otherwise, I would like to use the photos for my social media. I do not disclose any personal information and am sensitive to any commercial services offered by your photographer.

  5. Please do share any photos on my social media, as this is also a small way to advertise my services.

My Promise To You

  1. As a dog owner, I know dogs are part of the family, which is how this service was born.    I want to provide the best possible care whilst chaperoning your dog, so everything is planned so that the day is pawfect and stress-free.

  2. I have an enhanced DBS check and business and public liability insurance and am pet first aid trained. It is my responsibility to keep these up to date.
